I've finally gotten really well through part 14. Ain't that just awesome? Here's a little sneak peek that WILL actually stay on the blog FOREVER!
Alia summoned Satyrs to guard everyone in the group. They ran and screamed, going towards the gazebo.
"CEREN WARNED US NOT TO GO BEYOND THE GAZEBO!" Mary yelled, dodging another bomb.
"It's a risk we're gonna have to take if we want to live!" Alia replied, leading the group up to the streets.
But Ceren was proven right. As soon as they passed the glum gazebo that Ceren was sobbing against, the Malistiare statue that was formerly a unicorn, and the now murky waters of the stream that surrounded it,
Everything stopped exploding.
Odd enough, as soon as they stepped onto the sidewalk, the whole entire place grew quiet.
Not a single bat fluttering about.
Not a single moan heard from torn spirits of the park.
Not a single wicked laugh from a nearby Dark Sprite, or even their queen.
Just eerie silence.
Sabrina swallowed uneasily. "Ok... I am now absolutely creeped out by this place..." She began to back out of the dark, silent area. Within seconds, Sabrina began to run off.
Alia grabbed her wrist quickly, before she could even move a yard.
"No." Alia said.
"It's this, or being imprisoned."
Cody continued the epic line. "Or... Possible death."
Sabrina's face turned pale as the incomplete group made their way through the sidewalks.
They were all clever enough to be cautious of talking too loud. Cody was the first to speak. "Wow... This is heavily guarded?" he said in such a faint whisper, only the other three girls could hear him. Alia spoke next as they passed Lady Blackhope's deserted tower, in which passing by, they heard a hushed moan emerge from the front door.
"Are you guys sure Ceren was actually talking about this street? I mean... It's anything BUT guarded." the words escaped from Alia's mouth ever so silently.
A chill went up Alia's spine suddenly, and she began to shiver violently on the impact of such an icy feeling.
Even Mary, the former Thaumaturge who could naturally withstand any bitter cold, was shaking horribly.
"It's like..." Mary began to describe, rubbing her cold arms. "...It's like a different kind of cold... A dark cold... A deadly cold... It's as violent as an Ice wizard being trapped on the sun, in a wildfire, surrounded by a load of dueling Fire Wizards... But COLD."
The cold got fiercer. Alia to this very day could never describe how cold it was, except probably by "Being in a bathing suit in a super powerful blizzard, but colder." The impossible cartoon gag then began to happen, icicles began to freeze onto their dripping noses, hair, and almost every part of their body.
Alia wasn't one to give up. Never. No matter how things may get, she would never give up hope. So she followed that group all the way up the freezing cold to Rattlebones's tower, which isn't much of an accomplishment in the real Unicorn Way, but a great accomplishment in such cold.
The whole group suddenly felt burning hot, as if being in boiling water. All four yelled in agony as they felt as if being baked.
Then, in an in between stage, it all seemed to just pause.
Sometimes in life, there are things that you can only describe by a color. That's it, and it usually never makes sense. Everyone there had only been able to describe what happened next as only one color.
They were being swept away into complete darkness by haunted, evil spirits; Malistaire's allies. They couldn't breathe, smell, see, hear, even THINK. All they could do was feel a horrible, wispy breath and sensation, and that was all. And as they were swept away into total evil, only one color came to mind.
Black.
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! It's almost halfway done you guys. Remember to comment ;)
